Scenic Area Introduction

Mutianyu Great Wall lies 70 kilometers from downtown Beijing and stands as one of the most famous Great Wall scenic spots, representing the quintessence of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. Its iconic Main Pass Platform, featuring three interconnected watchtowers built on a single foundation, is a unique architectural sight rarely seen along the entire Great Wall. The rugged northern stretch boasts breathtaking natural landmarks including Ox Horn Edge, Jiankou and Eagle’s Dive Cliff.

The scenic area delivers distinctive scenery across four seasons: blooming flowers in spring, lush green mountains in summer, fiery red leaves in autumn and snow-covered ramparts in winter. It has earned the well-known reputation that “Mutianyu outshines all other sections of the Great Wall”.

The shuttle bus runs 6 kilometers between the service area and the sightseeing zone, highly recommended by the scenic area.

Round-trip Cable Car Ticket: 140 CNY; verified by original ID card or SMS QR code
One-way Cable Car Ticket: 100 CNY; verified by original ID card or SMS QR code

IV. Annual Passes

1.Annual Pass (Admission Ticket + Round-trip Shuttle Bus + Round-trip Cable Car): 400 CNY
Admission requires face matching and ID verification with your original ID card.

2.Annual Pass (Admission Ticket + Round-trip Shuttle Bus): 200 CNY
Admission requires face matching and ID verification with your original ID card.

V. Catering & Admission Combo Tickets

All combos include a postcard admission ticket and round-trip shuttle bus, plus meals at Yisonglou Restaurant.

VI. Value-added Services

1.Hiking Exoskeleton Rental

Rental Fee: 100 CNY

Terms: The base rental period is 3 hours. Usage under 3 hours is still charged for a full 3 hours. An overtime rate of 20 CNY per hour applies starting from the first 30 minutes of overtime.

2.Guided Tour of the Great Wall Spirit Exhibition Hall

Service Fee: 30 CNY

Service Content: Professional guided sightseeing inside the exhibition hall

General Supplementary Rules

1.All discounted tickets for students, seniors, military personnel and minors require identity verification matching your documents. Visitors must present relevant valid identification for inspection.

2.Minors from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan cannot purchase free or discounted tickets online and must complete ticketing procedures at the on-site service window.

3.The Beijing Senior Preferential Card is directly valid only for seniors with Beijing household registration. Non-local seniors holding this card must exchange physical tickets at the on-site window prior to entry.
